Let's consider a realistic approach. You make use of MS-Outlook e-mail application for sending and receiving your business related emails. On receiving an e-mail, you get a notification that a new mail has been received. But when you try to read it, you cannot find the received emails. On frantically searching for the mails, you realize, it does not exist anywhere in the Inbox.
When you ask the sender to resend the emails to solve the issue, you find that e-mail sender had received a revert e-mail message stating the mail had been deleted without being read. Subject of that e-mail message contained alphanumeric codes such as E1 or E6. Receiver has not read it.
Causes:
Such type of situations occur because of the following reasons:
- In your system, anti-virus program has been installed and you have configured it for scanning mails that you are receiving in your Inbox. In such a situation, when mails are being downloaded into the temp folder, then the anti-virus starts scanning them, and deletes them.
- Defined Outlook rule for deleting incoming e-mails is also the reason for deletion of e-mails.
Resolutions
Try to solve out the issue by following measures:
- Do not configure anti-virus for scanning Outlook e-mails.
- Remove the defined Outlook rule for deleting the mails. Performing this measure will greatly help you to solve above issue.
However, if you want those deleted mails again, either ask the sender to send the mails. But, if this is not possible due to some reason, try to recover deleted e-mails using third party Deleted Email Recovery tools. These tools employ powerful technology and have a read-only design. One advantage of using these tools is that they do not need any prior technical knowledge.
